Salt from sweat, tears, pools, or oceans will break down the adhesive over a short period of time and cause the extensions to fall out prematurely.
ALWAYS rinse your lashes with purified or distilled water immediately after any activities that have exposed the extensions to salt, chlorine, or any other chemicals that could harm the bond between the adhesive and the extensions.
Do steps 1-7 but also apply witch hazel toner every morning + night to the eyelid. I recommend Thayers Witch Hazel Alcohol Free Rose Petal Toner.
The Details
1. Brush them 2-3 times daily
Brush your lashes with a CLEAN lint free mascara wand (provided at the end of every service) from the top moving the wand in an outward rolling motion (away from the face). Brushing your lashes multiple times daily trains your natural lashes to grow in one direction as well as keeps your extensions clean & neat.
4. Do not pick or pull.
The natural oils from our fingers break down the adhesive which is why you want to avoid touching them as much as possible. Pulling your lashes can cause permanent damage so please do not pull them off instead come in to have them removed.
2. No oil-Based products around the eyes
Oil breaks down the bond between the adhesive and the extensions causing terrible retention. Be careful with touching your extensions as our fingers have natural oils that can contribute to poor retention. If you feel the need to touch them use hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol to dry the oils.
5. Do not sleep on your face.
Sleeping on your face can cause pulling and pre-mature shedding.
If you are a face or stomach sleeper I recommend buying a travel neck pillow. To keep them safe while you sleep :)
3. Cleanse them regularly.
Buy the lash bath and brush to cleanse your lashes. Cleanse them every other day or at least 3 times a week. Cleansing your lashes regularly keeps your natural lashes healthy by removing the dirt & debris build up that can cause premature shedding or lash mites/eye infections. This is a CRUCIAL part of your retention.
6. Do not brush lashes when wet.
Brushing wet lashes can cause breakage of the natural lashes. ALWAYS AIR DRY them before brushing. You can also use your blow dryer on the lightest setting with COLD air only or a fan.
7. Be mindful around flames & high heat.
Eyelash extensions (just as our hair) & adhesive are flammable please be cautious around flames or high heat. High heat can cause the curl of the extensions to relax or bend differently.
Make up removal tips
When removing makeup or cleansing the lashes please refrain from using cotton items around the eyes, use the lint free wand instead.
Warning
Under no circumstance should you use an eyelash curler or apply falsies over your extensions as that can cause irreversible damage to your natural lashes.
